Pole and Pedal Paddle artwork contest to begin Jan. 2

The Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation and the SELCO Community Credit Union will begin accepting submissions for their annual SELCO Pole Pedal Paddle artwork contest Tuesday, Jan. 2.

The contest allows participants to submit logo ideas for the 46th SELCO Pole Pedal Paddle, which is one of the largest multi-sport tournaments in the Northwest.

Artists of all ages are encouraged to enter and the winning design will be chosen by a slate of public voters and SELCO/MBSEF staff. Designs will be judged on popularity and suitability for distribution.

The winner of the design contest will be awarded $500 in prize money along with a commemorative mug and an official SELCO Pole Pedal Paddle item featuring the winning logo.

The deadline to enter the contest is Friday Jan. 12. The winner will be selected from a pool of eight finalists, whose designs will be open to public viewing and online voting. Online voting will take place between Jan 17 to Jan 21. The winner will be announced Jan. 23.

Submissions should be sent to events@mbsef.org as a high resolution JPG, Tiff or EPS. To be considered for the contest, entries must be original, incorporate the race name, date and year, fit on the front of a T-shirt, use no more than six colors.
