One of the best receivers in Oregon history is heading to the NFL.
Ducks receiver Troy Franklin, who set numerous program records this season, announced he is forgoing his senior season and will enter the NFL draft.
Named a second team All-American by the FWAA, AP and Sporting News, the first UO receiver since 1997 to earn such recognition, Franklin set single-season program records for receptions (81), receiving yards (1,383) and receiving touchdowns (14) and became Oregon’s all-time leader in career receiving touchdowns (25).
A first-team all-Pac-12 selection, Franklin is the third UO underclassman to declare for the draft, joining running back Bucky Irving and center Jackson Powers-Johnson.
Franklin’s departure leaves Oregon with 84 projected scholarship players in 2024, including eight receivers.
