SALEM — The start of the 54th Northwest Agricultural Show has been delayed one day due to weekend winter storms and ongoing unsafe road conditions statewide.
The show was scheduled to open to the public Wednesday.
The show will be conducted at the Oregon State Fair and Expo Center in Salem from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.
“Many of our exhibitors, and attendees, travel from all corners of Oregon, Washington, Idaho and California to attend the Northwest Agricultural Show, we want to make sure everyone can get there safely.” Joe Beach, show director, said.
Show officials are working to reschedule for Thursday classes for 4 CORE credits from Oregon and Washington state OSHA in morning and afternoon sessions on Wednesday. Due to Monday’s Martin Luther King Day holiday, organizers could not confirm with OSHA presenters.
The Boots & Bounty Barn Dance & BBQ Benefit event is currently still scheduled to happen on Thursday night.
