Burgerville — a longtime favorite among Oregonians — is beefing up its footprint in the state with three new restaurants over the next 18 months, including one planned in Bend.
A Wilsonville location is set to open in late spring or early summer, the company said in a statement last week. Bend and Salem locations are planned to open next year. The company is also planning new restaurants in Washington but did not specify locations.
7 new restaurants coming to Central Oregon
Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, Burgerville currently has 39 locations in Oregon and Washington. The Wilsonville restaurant will be its first new location in eight years.
Burgerville made headlines in 2021 when workers at five of the company’s locations voted to ratify a labor contract, making them the nation’s first fast-food chain employees to be covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The agreement came after three years of negotiations between Burgerville employees and the company.
The chain is famed for its seasonal menu offerings, savory burgers, waffle fries and shakes. Burgerville prides itself on sourcing its ingredients locally, with 72% of its food produced within 400 miles of Portland.
The company did not respond to requests for details on the Bend location.
