The Class 5A all-state teams for fall sports, which are voted on by coaches, were announced this week and 10 Intermountain Conference athletes were named to the first team in their respective sports. An IMC player and coach also earned the state’s top honors.

For the second straight year, Bend High’s Chloe LeLuge was named 5A volleyball’s Player of the Year after the Cal Poly signee helped the Lava Bears win the IMC and advance to the state tournament, where they finished second to Crescent Valley.

In his first year leading the Summit boys soccer team, Tom Bunnell was named the boys soccer Coach of the Year after leading the Storm to a 15-1-3 record and the program’s third state championship, a 1-0 win over Hood River Valley in November.

Two Summit seniors, Tommy Carroll and Bowen Teuber, were voted to the first team.

After winning the IMC for the first time in school history and advancing to the girls soccer state semifinals, Caldera seniors Hadley Williams and Kylee Jerome received first-team nods.

Five Mountain View football players were named to the 5A first team after the Cougars won their first 12 games and advanced to the state championship game in November.

On offense, sophomore running back Angel Valenzuela and junior wide receiver Jack Foley got first-team selections, and Eli Clason, the IMC’s Defensive Player of the Year, was a first-team defensive linemen. The Cougars also had two special teams players named to the first team in kicker Connor Calvert and punter Connor Crum.

Redmond junior offensive lineman Jace Eveland also landed on the state’s first-team offense.
