What’s going up: Bend condos under construction start at $1.2 million

Project name: McCann River Condominiums

Address: 20 and 26 NW McCann Ave. and 315 NW Riverside Blvd., Bend.

Developer: Nick Brown with Evolve Building & Development

Architect: Pine Ridge Design/Core Structures Engineering

General contractor: Evolve Building & Development. About 50 workers will be on the site.

Cost of the project: About $7 million.

Project details: When fully completed, the site will have 11 condominium units of 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, in a Northwest-modern style. It will be completed in phases.

The units will be 1,600 square feet with double-car garages, vaulted ceilings, and a solar-ready roof system.

Developer Nick Brown said the garages will also have plenty of room for bikes, boards and other toys.

The location, in the Old Bend neighborhood, is a block away from the Deschutes River and walking distance from Drake Park, Hayden Homes Amphitheater and businesses along Galveston Avenue. LivOregon Real Estate Broker Beth Davis said units range from $1.2-$1.43 million.

Mid Oregon Credit Union headquarters in Bend

This is Brown’s first multi-family development project. He has developed single-family homes in both Bend and Wenatchee, Washington.

Expected completion date for the first phase of eight units along McCann Avenue is early summer. Construction began in June of 2023.
