The Beach Boys are coming to Bend.

The giants of American music will bring their Endless Summer Gold tour to Hayden Homes Amphitheater on Aug. 24.

Known for songs including “Surfin’ Safari,” “I Get Around,” “God Only Knows” and “Good Vibrations,” the California-based band helped usher in the popularity of surf music in the early 1960s, thanks to the songwriting prowess of Brian Wilson and the harmonious vocals of him and his family. April 2 will see the release of their official book “The Beach Boys by The Beach Boys,” a very limited edition of 500 copies are being produced.

Decemberists coming in July

Longstanding Portland-based indie-rock band The Decemberists is also coming to the Bend amphitheater in July. The group, fronted by evocative wordsmith Colin Meloy, just released a new single, “Burial Ground,” its first new music in six years.

Also on the July 12 bill are indie-folkers The Head And The Heart and indie-rock band Ratboys.

Online presales begin at 10 a.m. Thursday for both concerts. (Sign up for concert alerts at bendconcerts.com to receive a presale code.)

General tickets sales start at 10 a.m. Friday at bendconcerts.com and in person at the Ticket Mill in the Old Mill District.
