Tylor & The Trainrobbers

Fans of country music: You should strongly consider visiting Silver Moon Brewing in Bend on Saturday night to see Tylor & the Train Robbers and The Shining Dimes.

The Shining Dimes are the local band on the bill, but they’ve got the goods to break big beyond Central Oregon at any time. Led by soulful vocalist Bri Bender Martin, the six-piece band’s sound is both twangy and catchy, like country music was in the ’60s and ’70s. They cite influences such as Patsy Cline, The Flying Burrito Brothers and Waylon Jennings, and you can hear traces of each of those all over the band’s fine 2023 album, “Just Be Blue.”

The touring band at Silver Moon that night is Tylor & the Train Robbers, who are from Boise, Idaho, though they come through our region often enough to be considered honorary locals. Or at least locals’ faves. Whereas the Dimes explore the more traditional side of country music, Tylor & the Train Robbers are more of an Americana band — undeniably twangy but with a bit more rock ‘n’ roll influence.

The Dimes are more of a classic go-dancin’-at-the-honky-tonk band and the Train Robbers make good music for driving a truck across the American West. They go great together, too.

Tylor & the Train Robbers, with The Shining Dimes: 7 p.m. Saturday, $15, Silver Moon Brewing, 24 NW Greenwood Ave., Bend, silvermoonbrewing.com.
