The first 50 people to arrive at the Enchanted Nordic Trek 3.0 will be eligible for complimentary gifts and free prizes.

A romantic adventure awaits the first 50 trekkers to arrive at Hoodoo ski area for Enchanted Nordic Trek 3.0 on Saturday.

An unlimited number of attendees are welcome to participate in this free event for couples, which is presented by FivePine Lodge and Shibui Spa. Still, only the first 50 people will receive complimentary gifts such as chocolate-covered strawberries and a chance to win prizes such as a free stay at FivePine Lodge in Sisters.

Trekkers are invited to cross-country ski or snowshoe and collect one of the roses lining Hogg Meadow Trail or Hayrick Glade of Hoodoo’s lower trail system on the day of the event.

The Hogg Meadow Trail is an approximately 2.3-kilometer loop through hemlock and fir trees that is excellent for beginners, according to Hoodoo’s website. Hayrock Glade spans 1.16-kilometers and is fit for intermediate cross-country skiers.

“It’s the perfect opportunity for couples to get together and do something fun outside that might not be as extreme as snowboarding or skiing,” said Emily Richmond, marketing manager at FivePine Lodge.
