Roger Lee Whiteman

July 9, 1937 – December 4, 2023

Roger finished high school at Crook County High in 1956. From there he went on to teach art at various schools for 30 years until he retired from Mt View High School in 1995. In addition to his love for art, he also loved collecting Alladin lamps, hunting and gun reloading, winemaking, jewelry making, pottery, rockhounding and lapidary work.

And his most beloved – Model A Ford pickup! Roger’s two sons were Eagle Scouts, so of course dad was a Silver Beaver. Roger is survived by his bride of 63 years, Jan, his two sons Jay and Ryan and one grandson, Trenton. A celebration of Life will be held June 1, 2024, at Larkspur Community Center at 2:00pm.
