Through five races this winter, Summit High School skiers have dominated the Oregon School Ski Association alpine racing league at Mt. Bachelor.

Summit’s Preston Schock has won all five boys races (three slalom and two giant slalom), leading Summit to a team victory in three of those races, including a giant slalom race held this past Saturday on the Cliffhanger Run.

The Bend High boys have two team wins: a slalom on Jan. 27 and a giant slalom on Jan. 20.

In girls racing, Summit’s Opal Tracy has won three races (one giant slalom and two slaloms) and her teammate Quincy Doden has won one giant slalom and one slalom. The Storm girls have won the team title in all five races, including the giant slalom this past Saturday.

The sixth and final race of the Oregon School Ski Association regular season is a giant slalom set for Feb. 24 on Cliffhanger. All giant slalom races have been held on Cliffhanger this season, with slalom races being held on Lower Leeway.

The Oregon Interscholastic Ski Racing Association alpine state championships are scheduled for Mt. Hood Meadows, March 6-8.
