Vampire Weekend announces summer show in Bend

“This Life” keeps getting better in Bend with the announcement of Vampire Weekend, whose “Only God was Above Us” tour visits Hayden Homes Amphitheater on June 19.

When the album of the same name drops April 5, it will mark the indie darlings’ first album since 2019’s “Father of the Bride.” The trio of Ezra Koenig, Chris Baio and Chris Tomson have in the meantime issued an early taste of what’s to come via the recently released tracks “Capricorn” and “Gen-X Cops,” the first a slow-burn beauty and the second a faster effort that demonstrates their ability to rock with the best of them.

Multi-instrumentalist and founding Phish member Mike Gordon will open the show.
