Eight Central Oregon teams set for Class 5A, 4A state basketball tournaments

- No. 14 Crook County celebrates its upset win against No. 3 Seaside on Friday night in a first-round game of the Class 4A boys basketball state playoffs in Seaside.
Eight Central Oregon high school basketball teams are set to compete in the Class 5A and 4A state tournaments this Wednesday through Saturday.
The Class 5A boys and girls state tournaments are scheduled for Linfield University in McMinnville, while the Class 4A boys and girls state tournaments are scheduled for Forest Grove High School.
In the 5A boys basketball state quarterfinals on Wednesday, No. 9 Mountain will take on No. 1 Summit at 1:30 p.m., and No. 7 Redmond will face No. 2 Wilsonville at 8:15 p.m.
In the 5A girls basketball state quarterfinals on Thursday, No. 8 Mountain View will play No. 1 Silverton at 1:30 p.m., and No. 5 Redmond will take on No. 4 Wilsonville at 3:15 p.m.
In the Class 4A boys state tournament quarterfinals Thursday, No. 8 Madras will challenge No. 1 Cascade at 1:30 p.m., and No. 14 Crook County will face No. 6 Marist at 8:15 p.m.
In the Class 4A girls state tournament quarterfinals Thursday, No. 7 Madras plays No. 2 Henley at 8:15 p.m.
