Feel good about spending and drinking at upcoming Central Oregon fundraising events

- Around the Bend Farms will host a fundraising event for the Warm Springs community on Thursday at Aspen Hall in Bend.
Have fun, meet people and support a local cause this week at Central Oregon fundraising events.
Contribute to Around the Bend Farms’ farming project in Warm Springs for dinner and entertainment. Help animals find a home by attending Sunriver Brewing Co.’s “Pup Crawl.” Drink and donate to a nonprofit that supports women and non-binary people in the alcohol industry. And enjoy live music and art while assisting students get to Mexico for a school trip.
Farm-to-Warm Springs Fundraiser
Around the Bend Farms is hosting an evening for fundraisers to enjoy its locally sourced, artisan food and support its farming project in Warm Springs. The nonprofit will use money raised to grow and transport fresh produce to people in the area. Its goal is $20,000. A total of $2,000 has been raised so far, according to the nonprofit’s website.
The money will pay for farm supplies and tools such as seeders and greenhouse covering, a walk-behind tractor, and farm labor. Around the Bend Farms is working with tribal members to build a three-acre plot so that people in the community can grow food regularly.

Around the Bend brings healthy food to Warm Springs community
The event will feature a dinner, presentation, live auction and raffle. A ticket includes the full tasting menu of wild salmon, bison meatballs, a rainbow of roasted vegetables, leafy green salad, locally made sourdough bread, and foraged cobbler for dessert plus a beverage.

Pup Crawl
Treat the family to dinner and drinks and participate in the Humane Society of Central Oregon’s fundraising event. Local sponsors Bend Pet Express and Bend Studio have made it so that 100% of the money raised will help animals in need. There will be pint glasses and beanies for sale. A glass and drink starts at $15. Humane Society staff will also be present for people with questions or looking to mingle.

Pint Night with Pink Boots Society
One dollar will be donated to the Bend chapter of Pink Boots Society for every pint sold throughout the day. Pink Boots Society is an international nonprofit organization that supports women and non-binary people working in the fermented and alcoholic beverage industry. Members of the Bend chapter will be present at the brewpub between 5 and 7 p.m.

Vamos a México
Eighth grade students at Bend International School are raising money for a trip to its sister school in Tlaquepaque, near Guadalajara in Mexico’s central region. The school’s rock band students, music flow students and student group Orion’s Corner will perform live music at the event along with local artists Larkspur Stand and Samaras. There will also be art on display and food and drinks available. About 28 students are expected to go on the field trip.
