The Deschutes County Road Department is requesting public input on intersection improvements proposed near Crooked River Ranch.
The projects are designed to improve traffic flow and safety at NW Lower Bridge Way and NW 43rd Street, a three-way intersection about 2 miles west of U.S. Highway 97. The changes are expected to improve safety for cyclists and help move traffic into and out of Crooked River Ranch.
Three design concepts range from enhancing a right-turn lane, realigning NW 43rd Street and building a roundabout, with costs ranging from $285,000 to $2.1 million.
Community input will be collected through a virtual open house, active until Apr. 19. Members of the public can rank each concept and provide comments. The open house is available at deschutes.org/LBW_43rd.
