Registration for Bend Park & Recreation District summer programs will open Monday through Wednesday, March 18-20.
Available activities include programs held mid-June through August and sports leagues in the summer and fall months.
The district’s online booklet with its upcoming sports and recreation opportunities is now on the park district website for viewing and downloading.
Staggered registration dates will again be used to prevent slowdowns and system crashes on the website, a process that began in 2022. The system also includes a virtual waiting room with guests assigned a number at random when they get online.
Registration for summer programs starts on Monday with recreation, enrichment and camp programs. On Tuesday registration will open for swim lessons and aquatics programs. Registration for sports leagues, including fall soccer, will be held on Wednesday. Registration begins at 6 a.m. each day.
Sports leagues include adult cornhole, adult fall softball, adult golf, adult kickball, adult roller hockey, youth flag football, kindergarten soccer, youth soccer, youth roller hockey and middle school tennis leagues.
Patrons who have not logged into their account in the past 30 days are encouraged to do so in advance of the sign-up dates to ensure that their log-in credentials are still active. This can be done at register.bendparksandrec.org. Individuals experiencing difficulty registering online can call the district office at 541-389-7275.
The district will also open some of its facilities for individuals to sign up for programs, including its district office, 799 SW Columbia St., Juniper Swim & Fitness Center, 800 NE Sixth St., Larkspur Community Center, 1600 SE Reed Market Road and the Pavilion, 1001 Bradbury Way.
On registration days, the above facilities open at 6 a.m. except Juniper Swim & Fitness, which opens at 5:30 a.m. Sign-ups will be done in person at the registration desk; self-serve kiosks are not available at these facilities.
Scholarships for sports and activities are available to those who qualify. Individuals interested in applying for a scholarship can do so through the Bend Park & Recreation District website.
