Sisters Ranger District plans open house night on April 9

The Sisters Ranger District of the Deschutes National Forest plans to host a public open house on April 9 to discuss upcoming projects and the condition of its facilities. 

Activities  include vegetation management in the Green Ridge and Cougar Rock areas, updates on trails and campgrounds, watershed restoration updates and plans for prescribed burns on the district. 

The open house runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Sisters Ranger District office (201 N Pine St, Sisters), with the doors open at 5 p.m.

Attendees can arrive early to take an optional walking tour of the new ranger station. People interested in participating in the walking tour of the facility are asked to reserve a spot by calling 541-549-7700 or email kylan.carlson@usda.gov. Start time for the walking tour is 4:45 p.m.
