Nearly a quarter of Bend’s single-family home sales in March were for more than $1 million, according to the monthly housing report.

In March, 43 active listings were for more than $1.8 million, according to the report prepared by the Beacon Appraisal Group LLC of Redmond.

The median sales price of a single-family home in Bend rose $71,000 in March to $753,000, according to the report. Since August of 2023, the median sales price of a single-family home in Bend has hovered around the mid $700,000s.

Also notable in the March report is the decline in the number of days it took to sell a home in Bend. The number of days dropped to 20 in March, compared to 40 days in February. The most number of days it’s taken a Bend home to sell over the past two years was 51 days, according to the report.

In Redmond, the median sales price of a single-family home rose to $537,000, up slightly from $511,000 in February, according to the report.

It took homes an average of 47 days to sell in Redmond in March, up considerably from February, when it took 28 days to sell a home.

The monthly Beacon Report uses the median sales price to measure the midpoint value of all transactions in a month.

In Sisters, the median sales price of a single-family home dropped to $732,000 compared to $965,000 in February. Sisters had about 2½ months worth of inventory currently on the market in March, compared to a month’s supply in February.

In Sunriver the median sales price of a single-family home also dropped in March to $705,000, compared to $923,000 in February. The inventory remained stable in Sunriver, with about a three-month supply of homes on the market available for sale.

In La Pine, the median sales price of a single-family home was $365,000, down more than $100,000 from February when the median sales price was $475,000, according to the report. The inventory levels also are stable in La Pine with about a four-month supply for sale in March.
