The votes are in for The Bulletin’s Athletes of Week for April 1-6.

Grayson Moore, a junior on the Mountain View golf team, and Cadence Kennedy, a freshman on the Mountain View softball team, were voted by Bulletin readers as the boys and girls Athletes of the Week.

Kennedy was nominated by Mountain View softball coach Sarah Stacy after the freshman shortstop tallied seven hits, scored four runs and drove in nine runs in Mountain View’s 15-0 wins over Madras and Parkrose last week. Kennedy is batting .538 on the season, has yet to commit an error in the field and leads the team in home runs and RBIs.

Moore was nominated by The Bulletin’s sports staff after he finished tied with the low score of 72 at the Ridgeview Invitational on April 3. The junior birdied two holes and parred six holes on the back-9 at Juniper Golf Club.

New nominations will be announced on Tuesday, April 16. Local players are nominated for the honor by coaches and The Bulletin sports staff.
