Families with children entering kindergarten in the fall are invited to attend registration sessions at neighborhood parks this Saturday.

In addition to registration, school officials will also provide information regarding school boundary information and required enrollment documents.

Between 9 and 10 a.m., the school bus will stop at Hollygrape, Sun Meadow and Pilot Butte Neighborhood parks in Bend and the Oregon Water Wonderland 1 mailboxes in the Sunriver and Three Rivers area.

Between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., the bus will stop at the downtown education center, Ponderosa and Canal Row parks in Bend, and Frontier Heritage Park in La Pine.

Bend-La Pine Schools will also be hosting Kinder Fiesta at the education center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 18. This will serve as a Spanish-language kickoff event for families.

To be eligible for kindergarten during the 2024-25 school year, children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1. Families can register online and find their neighborhood schools at the district’s website, www.bend.k12.or.us/district
