October 28, 1962 – April 20, 2024
Scott Mitchell Jordan passed away unexpectedly on April 20, 2024, at the age of 61, in his Bend, Oregon home. Born on October 28, 1962, in Portland, Oregon, his sudden death has deeply saddened his family.
After graduating from Tigard High School, Scott dedicated over four decades of his life to Carlson Testing, Inc. (CTI), where he began as a full-time laboratory technician. At the time of his death, he served as the President, driving CTI’s commitment to excellence in quality and customer service.
In 1996, Scott found his life partner in Lisa Robles, whom he married on June 26, 1999. Together, they lovingly raised two children, Tara and Kevin.
Outside of his professional life, Scott found happiness in hunting and fishing expeditions with his son, grandson, friends, and family. He took immense pleasure tending to his ranch and cherished home, devoting time to gardening, caring for their animals, and woodworking. Moreover, Scott was deeply involved in nurturing his grandson, Grant Mitchell Jordan, and actively supported Grant’s basketball pursuits.
Scott’s cherished memories are carried on by his devoted wife of 25 years, Lisa, and their children Tara (Sean) Belida and Kevin (Allison) Jordan. Among the greatest treasures of his life were his beloved grandchildren: Grant, Mason, and Rheia Jordan, who brought boundless happiness to their home in Bend, Oregon. In addition to his immediate family, Scott is fondly remembered by his sister, Terri (Todd) Clement of Portland, Oregon, and stepsisters Traci (Dan) Holmes of Portland, Oregon, Tara McDonald of Estacada, Oregon, and Tracy Bishop-Yerman of Shawnee, Kansas. His sisters-in-law, Sonya Cotton of Louisville, Kentucky, and Velda Schalk of San Antonio, Texas, share in the fond memories.
He leaves behind his special family, including Dayna and Darwin Perren of Texas City, Texas, and Rachel Fowler and Bella Schmitz of Austin, Texas, who held a dear place in his heart. His nieces and nephews, Nathan (Molly) Clement, Jeremiah Clement, Amy Yerman, Jessica Cowger, Nick Holmes, Natasha DeBenedetti, Riley (Hanna) McDonald, Hunter McDonald and Hailey McDonald, all from Oregon, share cherished memories of their uncle. Further afield, nieces and nephews Craig (Tammy) Cotton and Carly Cotton of Louisville, Kentucky, Christopher (Nicki) Schalk of San Antonio, Texas, Tori (Calob) Marino of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Jullian Perren of Austin, Texas, and Trevor Perren of Texas City, Texas, reflect on his loving presence in their lives, as do his many great-nieces and nephews.
Scott’s deep bond with his dear friend and mentors Doug and Sue Leach of Sherwood, Oregon, and their children, Steve, Patty, and Lauri (Tim) Allred, brings warmth to memories shared. Scott is preceded in death by his father, Jim Jordan; mother, Patricia Barron; stepfather, Gerald Barron, in-laws, Genaro and Lucy Robles and cherished friend, Brian Leach. Though he has passed on, Scott’s spirit continues to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Scott’s unexpected passing has left a profound void, deeply felt by his family and the extensive community of friends and loved ones he touched throughout his life. Your support during this challenging period is deeply valued by the family.
