Three Deschutes County librarians were honored at the annual Oregon Library Association Conference in April.
Emily O’Neal, technical services manager, was awarded the Librarian of the Year award from the Oregon Library Association, while librarian Liisa Sjoblom received the president’s award and librarian Roxanne Renteria the equality, diversity and inclusion anti-racism recognition award.
Association president Ericka Brunson-Rochette, who is also a librarian with the Deschutes Public library system, spoke at the conference to inspire Oregon librarians. She will serve as president through September.
