For the final time before a move to the Big Ten Conference, the perennial Pac-12 contender Oregon Ducks are conference champions in women’s track and field.

The Ducks captured a third consecutive and 14th overall Pac-12 title over the weekend with 150 points, edging the USC Trojans with 136 and UCLA Bruins with 99.

For the second year in a row, Oregon sprinter Jadyn Mays was the athlete of the meet, accounting for 22 of Oregon’s points with victories in the 100- and 200-meter races while contributing to a runner-up finish for the Ducks in the 4×100. Mays’ new lifetime best of 11.01 seconds in the 100 set an Oregon program record for the Pac-12 meet.

Jaida Ross pulled off victories in the shot put and discus, setting a lifetime best in the latter.

Other women’s champions for Oregon at the meet included Shelby Moran with a throw of 225 feet, nine inches in the hammer, and the 4×400 team of Shana Grebo, Ella Clayton, Katriina Wright and Shaniya Hall posting a program record for the meet at 3:27.34 that is tied for the fourth-fastest time in school history.

On the men’s side, where the Ducks finished in fourth place with 83 points as a team, Elliott Cook won the 800 and 1,500 with times of 1:48.18 and 3:54.30. He is the first Oregon man to win conference titles in both events at the same meet.
