Here are the candidates for The Bulletin’s Athletes of the Week for May 6-11 as nominated by local coaches and The Bulletin sports staff.

Girls
Anna Latimer, Caldera golf: The senior placed first at the 5A IMC/NWOC regional golf tournament on May 7 at Aspen Lakes Golf Course in Sisters. With nine pars and a birdie, Latimer shot an 81, which was 11 strokes better than the second-place finisher, to help the Wolfpack qualify for the state championships as a team.
Renee Johnson, Culver track: The senior athlete qualified for the 2A state track meet in four different events. At the 2A Special District 4 championships on May 11, she finished second in the 100 meters (13.39 seconds), long jump (14 feet, 9.75 inches), 100-meter hurdles (16.65) and the 200 hurdles (48.91).
Jacqueline Haffner, Summit track: The freshman ended her first Intermountain Conference championships with titles in the long jump and the high jump. Haffner won the long jump with a leap of 17-11.5 and the high jump by clearing 5-4.25.
Kensey Gault, Ridgeview track: The senior set a personal record and ran the state’s fastest time this season in the 100 hurdles with a time of 14.36 seconds to win the event at the IMC championships. Gault also won an IMC title in the 100 with a time of 12.24.
Audrey Corcoran, Sisters track: The freshman speedster was the high-points scorer at the 3A Special District 4 championships on May 10 with wins in the 200 (26.15) and the long jump (16-2.25), while being part of the winning 4×400-meter relay team (4:06.60). Corcoran also finished second in the 100 (12.80).
Boys
Colton Horner, Redmond baseball: In three games last week against cross-town rival Ridgeview, Horner batted .444 with four total hits, including a triple, two RBIs and three runs scored.
Trent Reese, Culver track: At the 2A Special District 4 championships, Reese won the 100 with a time of 10.95 and finished second to qualify for state in the 200 (23.19). He was also part of the 4×100 relay team that turned in 2A’s fastest time of the season (44.45).
Gabe Love, Crook County track: Love shattered two school individual records and helped break a relay record at the Tri-Valley Conference championships on May 11. He won the 200 in 22.05, and threw the javelin 188-9 to win the district title. The Cowboys won the 4×100-meter relay with a school record of 42.96.
Eli Oelkers, Crook County track: Oelkers was the high-point scorer at the Tri-Valley Conference championships with three first-place finishes. Oelkers won the 110 hurdles (16.08), the 300 hurdles (41.36) and the long jump (21-8).
Austin Dean, Sisters baseball: In four wins for the Outlaws last week, Dean caught all four games and threw out runners on three out of three steal attempts. At the plate he collected four hits, two doubles and scored five runs.
Cash Hattenhauer, Bend baseball: In a series win last week against Mountain View, the junior batted .687 with six hits, two doubles and a triple, while drawing four walks. He also drove in three runs and scored three times.
