Stewart Tuft, Jr.

May 15, 1937 – May 15, 2024

Stewart Tuft, Jr. was born in Portland on May 15, 1937. He attended Ainsworth School, Lincoln High School, then University of Oregon and Portland State College (now PSU). He graduated from the University of Oregon Medical School (now OHSU) in 1967. He served in the US Army three times as a medic and doctor. He worked at the Bend Memorial Clinic until he retired to Manzanita. He worked part-time as a doctor at the Siletz Community Health Clinic.

He was predeceased by his parents Lou Ann (Chase) Tuft and Stewart Tuft, his brother Mort Tuft, and most recently by his son Torrey Tuft. He is survived by his son Erik, his former wife Cassie, two grandchildren Braeden and Olivia, his sister Martha Denison and her husband Allen and their children, and his brother Mort’s family in Sweden.

Stewart died peacefully of heart failure on his 87th birthday in Portland. He will be missed by many people who loved to laugh with him. No service is planned. Please remember Stew in your own way.
