Jade Carey, the most decorated gymnast in Oregon State history, continues her quest for a 2024 Summer Olympics berth this week at the U.S. Championships in Fort Worth, Texas.
The rising OSU senior has a heavy competition schedule in the event leading into the U.S. Olympic Trials at Minneapolis in late June.
The U.S. championships run Thursday through Sunday. Carey competes Friday and Sunday. She’ll take part in all-around, as well as vault and floor for individual events. Carey will perform vault, bar, beam and floor routines during both days of competition.
Carey won gold in floor exercise at the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo. She is a multiple gold medal winner at Worlds and Pan American Games.
Carey recently completed her third year at Oregon State, where she has won five medals at the NCAA championships, including a second-place finish in all-around earlier this season.
Competition for Carey begins at 5 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Sunday.
