Bend Fire & Rescue seeks community input

Bend Fire & Rescue is seeking community input on its next strategic 5-year plan through an online survey open through June 28.

The survey is open to everyone, and asks questions about service priorities, planning priorities and other positive or negative feedback the community might have.

Fire Chief Todd Riley said in a news release the survey is partially in response to a levy approved by voters in 2023 that will help the department maintain its operations through June 2029.

“We are extremely grateful the community chose to continue funding crucial positions, equipment and training, and we want to be mindful of this trust in our department as we plan for the next five years,” Riley said.

The survey can be submitted online at bendoregon.gov/Fire, and will close at 5 p.m. June 28.
