UPDATE: The woman reported missing on Tuesday was found Wednesday uninjured, according to Bend Police.
A 42-year-old woman from Flagstaff, Arizona was reported missing in Bend on Tuesday, police said.
Julie Collins Negrelli was last seen leaving the Campfire Hotel on NE Third Street around 9:30 p.m. Monday for an evening walk, her boyfriend told police.
Negrelli’s boyfriend reported her missing around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sheila Miller, Bend Police spokesperson, said in a news release.
“He told police he’d last spoken to her at about 1:25 a.m. on Tuesday morning, when she told him she was at a convenience store helping a homeless person get something to eat,” Miller said.
Negrelli had taken her phone and room key, and she told her boyfriend she planned to return to the hotel, Miller said.
The couple was visiting Central Oregon to go rock climbing.
Police described Negrelli as a white woman with blue eyes and brown hair. She is about 5-foot-2 and 115 pounds. Her nose is pierced on each side. She has a cross tattoo on her sternum. She was last seen wearing black leggings and a gray hoodie that read “One Eyed Buffalo.”
Negrelli doesn’t know the Bend area, Miller said. Police searched for Negrelli overnight but were unsuccessful, she said. They were still searching Wednesday morning, focusing in the area around the Campfire Hotel.
“But obviously its been awhile so she could be anywhere,” Miller told The Bulletin.
If members of the public see Negrelli, they are encouraged to call nonemergency dispatch at 541-693-6911.
