WCL All-Star Game, which includes four Bend Elks players, to air on MLB Network

The midsummer classic of the the West Coast League is making a big splash in its return after a five-year hiatus. The wood-bat college summer league all-star game, which hasn’t been played since 2019, will air live on national television and streaming services.
Wednesday’s 6:35 p.m. game at Joe Martin Field in Bellingham, Washington, will be broadcasted on MLB Network, MLB.TV, MLB.com and the MLB app.

The broadcast will showcase the expertise of renowned on-air talent, including Tyler Maun (play-by-play), Ryan Rowland-Smith (analyst), and MLB Pipeline’s Sam Dykstra (analyst).
“We’ve already seen Jarren Duran, Steven Kwan, Adley Rutschman, Tarik Skubal, and Tyler Anderson play in the West Coast League,” said Dykstra, “on their way to becoming 2024 MLB All-Stars. “We’ll help our audience get a closer look at this year’s batch of West Coast Leaguers who could follow similar paths to Major League stardom.”
In addition, WCL commissioner Rob Neyer will join the broadcast during the game, along with other notable figures from the world of baseball.
The Bend Elks had four players selected to the all-star game: first baseman Easton Amundson (Liberty) and pitchers Mason Edwards (USC), Jackson Elder (Utah) and Tyler Wood (UC Davis). All four will play for the WCL’s South Division when they take on the North Division.
