Violin virtuoso Jackiw kicks off new chamber music series

- Stefan Jackiw is the first artist up in a new High Desert Chamber Music series featuring professional musicians, performing Sunday in Bend.
Violinist Stefan Jackiw will give the first performance in High Desert Chamber Music’s new series, HDCM Celebrity Recitals.
Jackiw’s will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 28, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 61980 Skyline Ranch Road, Bend.
“We are thrilled to showcase the incredible talent of virtuoso violinist Stefan Jackiw. He is the perfect artist to launch our new Celebrity Recitals series,” Isabelle Senger, HDCM’s executive director, said in a press release, adding by email that Jackiw is one of the
most successful touring musicians today.
Jackiw has been playing since the age of 4 and has performed with many symphonies, including the New York Philharmonic, the Taiwan Philharmonic and the China National Symphony.
The Washington Post has referred to him as having “Talent that’s off the scale.”
Admission is $62, $15 for children and students.
