The 104th Deschutes County Fair begins next week in Redmond, bringing to life a wonderland of live animals, carnival rides, tasty treats, eclectic shopping and, for five nights a row, free-with-fair-admission concerts by nationally touring musicians.
As always, the lineup is diverse, with a pop-rock band, a country singer, some rappers and a regional Mexican band. The shows happen outside and, again, are free to attend once you pay to get into the fair.
Here’s who’s playing:
Wednesday, July 31: The Fray, the Denver-based pop-rock band with a piano-forward sound, best known for their hit songs “Over My Head (Cable Car)” and “How To Save A Life.”
Thursday, Aug. 1: Billy Currington, a country singer from Georgia, whose easygoing sound has led him to 11 #1 hits on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts.
Friday, Aug. 2: Yung Gravy, a Minnesotan whose style is a blend of contemporary hip-hop and old funk and soul music, as heard in his big hit single from 2022, “Betty (Get Money).”
Saturday, Aug. 3: Lil’ Kim with Bow Wow, two major names from the world of ‘90s and ‘00s rap join forces for a night of beats, bass and nostalgia. Bow Wow used to be Lil’, too, but no more!
Sunday, Aug. 4: Banda Los Recoditos, a regional Mexican band from Sinaloa that has scored a number of international hits thanks to its vibrant blend of upbeat horns and vocal harmonies.
