Registration begins Monday for recreation, enrichment and sports programs. Swim lessons and aquatics programs are available on Tuesday. On Wednesday, sign-ups will begin for sports leagues including adult curling, adult hockey, youth indoor soccer and volleyball.

Registration begins at 6 a.m. each day of the sign-up period. The staggered days and virtual waiting rooms are designed to prevent network crashes caused by user overload.

District spokesperson Julie Brown said ice activities at The Pavilion and swim lessons are popular and fill up quickly.

“Curling and the hockey leagues are typically the first programs to fill to capacity and beyond for a waitlist,” said Brown. “Swim lessons also tend to be popular programs on the first day of registration.”

The park district advises users to sign into their accounts before the registration period begins to ensure that it is active and payment methods are up-to-date. Using the “wishlist” feature on the website can help smooth out the registration process. Scholarships are available to qualifying families.

Brown also recommends district patrons log onto the registration website to get a feel for its new look and layout.

In addition to online registration, patrons can also sign up for activities at Juniper Swim & Fitness Center, Larkspur Community Center and the district office during regular business hours. For additional information, contact the district at 541-389-7275.
