According to police, the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office street crimes unit had been investigating Hewitt and determined he was allegedly selling methamphetamine out of his Redmond home, which is located near two schools.
Police searched Hewitt’s property and found a “commercial quantity of methamphetamine” as well as scales, packaging material and money. Hewitt was arrested and jailed.
Hewitt was on a conditional release related to a citation in March for failing to report as a sex offender. A prosecutor on Friday filed a motion to revoke that conditional release due to the new drug charges.
