Bend Police detained a suspect Wednesday afternoon after shots were fired near Second Street at Franklin Avenue in the central part of the city.

No one was injured in the shooting, which occurred about 3:30 p.m., according to a news release from Bend Police.

For a time Wednesday, police asked the public to stay away from the area as officers investigated. Second Street between DeKalb and Franklin avenues, and NE Emerson Avenue between Third and First streets were closed.
