A man is on the run in a repainted ambulance after he was charged with molesting children in Oregon and Alabama, police said.

The Wasco County Circuit Court on Thursday issued a warrant for the arrest of 39-year-old Adam Renk after he was indicted on charges of first-degree unlawful penetration, first degree sodomy and first degree sexual abuse. The victim or victims were under the ages of 14, according to court records.

Renk also is accused of child sex abuse and torture of an 11-year-old in Mobile, Alabama, according to a statement from the Oregon State Police.

Detectives started investigating Renk after a minor reported being abused. The abuse occurred around June 1, 2020, police and court records say.

The victims in Oregon and Alabama aren’t related, police said.

Renk left Alabama on Aug. 7 after he posted bond ahead of his scheduled trial, police said. He was last seen leaving the state in a Ford ambulance that has been repainted with two-toned white over gray. The car’s Oregon license plate number is 353JWK, according to the Oregon State Police.

U.S. Marshals Service officers and Alabama and Oregon law enforcement are looking for Renk. It’s not known whether he’s in Oregon, but he has “ties to Oregon and Wasco County,” Oregon State Police said. Police are asking for the public’s help in finding him.

Renk is 6-foot-1, weighs 175 pounds and has blue eyes and brown hair, police said.

Officials ask anyone with information about Renk or his whereabouts to contact the Wasco County Sheriff’s Office at 541-506-2580 or Oregon State Police Det. Cassie Bantz through dispatch at 800-442-0776 or by dialing *OSP (*677) on a mobile phone.
