Tower Theatre adds pop, rock, country, blues and global flavor to 2024-25 season

- The String Queens have performed at Carnegie Hall and on April 15, they play at the Tower Theatre.
The venerable Tower Theatre (835 NW Wall Street, Bend) has announced “Act Two” of its 2024-25 season, and it includes the theater’s own 85th Anniversary Film Festival (March 1-6), National Geographic Live (April 4) and the Sprout Film Festival (April 8), plus a whole bunch of live music.

Feb. 23: Blues Harmonica Blowout — A night of hard-hitting R&B with top-shelf bluesmen and blueswomen, including Curtis Salgado, Mark Hemmel and more. $34-$54.
Feb. 26: The Wardens — Canadian Rocky Mountain National Park rangers sing songs and share stories about the land they’ve protected for decades. $24-$44.
March 17-18: International Guitar Night — Two nights of six-string virtuosos playing a variety of styles, from Latin, swing and classical to rock and African music. Watch the fingers fly! $44-$64.
March 19: Asleep at the Wheel — An evening of genuine Western swing music by Ray Benson and one of the best bands to ever do it — now in its 55th year. $44-$144.
March 20: Life from Laurel Canyon — A live tribute to the country-rockin’ sound of Los Angeles in the 1970s, including The Byrds, Joni Mitchell and more. $49-$69.
March 21: Richie Furay and John Batdorf — Furay, a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, helped pioneer the country-rock genre by founding Buffalo Springfield and Poco. $54-$74.
March 30 — Skerryvore
Scottish traditional music done in contemporary style, with bagpipes, fiddles, accordions, whistles and a ton of energy. $29-$109.
April 6: Seals & Croft 2 — You’ve heard of Seals & Croft, the duo behind big ‘70s hits like “Summer Breeze,” “Diamond Girl” and “Get Closer,” right? Well, these folks are related to them! $44-$64.
April 11: Edna Vazquez of Pink Martini — Intimate solo show from the powerful vocalist, covering Mexican folk songs, trova serenades and distinctive originals in Spanish and English. $24-$64.
April 15: The String Queens — These three classically trained musicians — violin, viola and cello — have played at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. And now, the Tower! $24-$44.
April 23: The Cello Project — This popular Portland-based group plays great pop, rock, country and jazz covers alongside its extensive classical repertoire. $34-$59.
May 22: The War & Treaty: Married couple Michael and Tanya Trotter brew up a potent blend of blues, folk, gospel, rock and stirring Southern soul. Wear your church clothes! $59-$79.
May 27: The Wailin’ Jennys — A Wailin’ Jennys show is an impressive mix of fine folk songs, excellent picking, humorous banter and, most of all, heavenly vocal harmonies. $44-$69.
June 7: The Traveling Wilburys Revue — You’re never going to see The Traveling Wilburys perform, particularly Tom Petty, Roy Orbison and George Harrison, who have passed on. So here’s the next best thing. $24-$54.
