We can’t imagine many of you have not voted by the time you read this.

As of Friday, nearly 48% of eligible voters in Deschutes County had voted, or 79,194 ballots had been returned. In Crook County, it was about the same percentage, 47%, with 10,299 ballots returned. In Jefferson, it was 40%, or 7,074 ballots returned.

Those turnout percentages don’t dictate what the final turnout will be like. But we hope you will be a voter. So many people sacrificed so much so you have the privilege of voting. Please vote.
