Bend man arrested for allegedly selling cocaine near a school

A 42-year-old Bend resident was arrested Oct. 24 by the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement Team on suspicion of unlawful delivery of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school.
North O’Connor was arrested around 7:30 p.m. after the interagency drug enforcement team discovered O’Connor was allegedly selling illegal drugs from his residence, which is within 1,000 feet of Westside Village Magnet at Kingston School in Bend.
The arrest was made during a traffic stop on Greenwood Avenue. In conjunction with the Bend Police Department, the team searched O’Connor’s house and car and found cocaine, ecstasy, ketamine, marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, steroids, cash, packaging materials, scales and other drug paraphernalia, police said in a release.
On Oct. 30, a Deschutes County grand jury indicted O’Connor on charges of unlawful delivery and possession of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school and attempted delivery and unlawful possession of marijuana. O’Connor has a plea hearing set for Nov. 22 in Deschutes County Circuit Court.
