Mid Oregon Credit Union opened its annual fundraiser to support local charities that provide food and other necessities to families who need help.

The Holiday Dough fundraiser runs through Dec. 6. Funds raised support The Giving Plate, La Pine Christmas Basket Association, Redmond Jericho Road, Madras Community Food Pantry, Crook County Holiday Partnership and the Sisters Kiwanis Food Bank.

These organizations provide food, Christmas baskets, housing assistance, holiday support and holiday meals to people in need.

Since 2023, Mid Oregon members and the community have donated nearly $44,000 to local food banks through Holiday Dough.

Donations can be given through the credit union’s website. In return, Mid Oregon is sharing cookie recipes from an employee bake-off. These can also be found on the website.
