Of The Trees will headline a bill of electronic music on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at Bend's Midtown Ballroom.

The “About” section of Of The Trees’ website is incredibly minimal:

“Of The Trees is a producer and visual artist originally rooted in Maine, now residing in Denver, Colorado.”

So this dude lets the music do the talking for him. Which is understandable, because his music is quite evocative. In a corner of the musical universe where suffocating beats and bass is a crutch for so many producers, Of The Trees uses those elements as a foundation of his sound, but builds around them — bright melodies, unconventional bleeps and bloops, immersive atmospheres and so on — to create an experience that’s as cinematic as it is auditory.

Put more simply: Listening to Of The Trees’ electronic music is like wandering through tiny, variegated worlds that pulse and glow with life in a way that feels authentic, charismatic and captivating.
