Here are the candidates for The Bulletin’s Athletes of the Week for Dec. 4-Dec. 14 as nominated by local coaches and The Bulletin sports staff.

Girls

Audrey Corcoran, Sisters basketball: The sophomore guard has scored 19 or more points in each of the Outlaws games this season. Corcoran had a 29-point game in a 75-49 win over Trinity Lutheran on Dec. 10, then scored 28 points in a 64-43 win over Mazama on Dec. 14.

Mackenzie Shearson, Redmond wrestling: Through two tournaments this season the senior has picked up two titles. At the Knife River Invitational in Scappoose on Dec. 7, Shearon won the 155-pound weight class and won all three of her matches by pins. Shearon then won all five of her matches at the North Bend Classic on Dec. 14, pinning each of her opponents.

Ella Prelog, Trinity Lutheran basketball: At the Westside Winter Jam Tournament in Portland Dec. 6-7, Prelog scored 29 points and had 10 steals in a 55-33 win over De La Salle. She then tallied 21 points, five steals, five rebounds and three assists in the championship game against Neah-Kah-Nie.

Jade Durfee, Summit basketball: In the Storm’s 47-29 win over Crook County on Dec. 10, the sophomore guard led the team in scoring with 16 points while knocking down four shots from behind the 3-point arc.

Boys

Max Dickson, Culver wrestling: The Bulldog freshman won all five of his matches to claim the 175-pound title at the Culver Invitational on Dec. 14. In the five matches, Dickson finished with three pins and a technical fall.

Cash Hattenhauer, Bend basketball: Through five games this season, the senior guard has averaged 15 points per contest. He scored a career-high 23 points in the Lava Bears’ 75-56 win over Pendleton on Dec. 13 to help them improve to 3-2 on the season.

Landen Scott, Sisters basketball: In the Outlaws’ 76-45 win over Santiam Christian on Dec. 5, the senior guard scored 29 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Scott is averaging 21.2 points per game while shooting 53% from the field.

Billy Jackson, Redmond wrestling: Jackson reached the championship match in both tournaments in which he has wrestled this season. He won the 138-pound weight class at the Tyrone S. Woods Memorial Invitational on Dec. 7. He then finished second in the 132-pound weight class at the North Bend Coast Classic on Dec. 14.

Jack Bents, Caldera basketball: In the Wolfpack’s 63-56 win over Sandy on Dec. 13, Bents scored 18 points in the second half to secure the win. Through three games, the senior guard has averaged 17 points, three assists, four rebounds and two steals to help Caldera to a 2-1 record.

Andrew Imhoff, Trinity Lutheran basketball: In the Saints’ 66-65 win over Sisters on Dec. 10, Imhoff exploded for 35 points and 14 rebounds. Through four games this season, the senior is averaging 25 points and 13.5 rebounds to help Trinity Lutheran to a 3-1 start to the season.

Riley Flack, La Pine wrestling: The reigning state champion won all five of his matches and was voted the Outstanding Wrestler at the Culver Invitational on Dec. 14. Flack won the 132-pound title in overtime against Grant Union’s Taylor Parson, a returning two-time state champion.

Kai Scalley, Summit basketball: The senior’s performance on the defensive end of the court helped the Storm pick up their second win of the season, a 51-48 victory over Crook County on Dec. 10.
