There are approximately one bazillion Beatles tribute bands on the planet, so when one of them touts itself as “the best Beatles tribute band,” two things are true: 1. I can’t vouch for them, because I haven’t seen them all. And 2. If they’re right, then they’re really, really good.

On Saturday night, the long-running band The Fab Four will visit Bend’s Tower Theatre; they call themselves the best Beatles tribute band, and the evidence backs them. This is a group that has performed at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, been featured in its own PBS special, and even won an Emmy Award for that special. These cats absolutely nail the look and the sound of the original lads from Liverpool.

This weekend, they’ll bring to Bend their new show, which celebrates the Beatles’ first visit to the United States and features note-for-note renditions of all the band’s biggest hits, classic tunes and fan favorites.
