Jerry Seinfeld performs live at Bend’s Hayden Homes Amphitheater on July 18.

The stand-up comedian has been cracking up audiences ever since his career took off in 1981 with an appearance on “The Tonight Show” with Johnny Carson.

“Seinfeld,” the comedy TV series created in partnership with Larry David, ran for nine seasons on NBC and was recognized with numerous Emmy, Golden Globe and People’s Choice awards. TV Guide named it the greatest show of all time in 2009.

Since the TV series, Seinfeld’s projects have included Netflix stand-up specials “Jerry Before Seinfeld,” “23 Hours to Kill,” the web series “Comedian in Cars Getting Coffee” and “Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story,” a 2024 film which he starred in, directed and produced.

Seinfeld is also the author of three books: “Is This Anything?” “Seinlanguage” and “The Comedian in Cars Getting Coffee Book.”
