Here are the candidates for The Bulletin’s Athletes of the Week for Jan. 20-25 as nominated by local coaches and The Bulletin sports staff.

Girls
Ali Heinly, Caldera basketball: With six points in the Wolfpack’s 63-29 win over Ridgeview on Jan. 22, the senior guard eclipsed 1,000 career points, becoming the first Caldera girls basketball player to reach that milestone. Heinly is averaging 11 points, four rebounds, four steals and three assists per game this season.
Kalyn Christ, Summit basketball: Despite missing nearly half of the game, the junior guard led Summit with 14 points, including four 3-pointers, in the Storm’s 53-40 loss to Redmond on Jan. 23.
Alana Troullier, Mountain View wrestling: At the Hood River Valley Invitational Jan. 24-25, Troullier won all five of her matches to claim the 130-pound title. She pinned all five of her opponents.
Jade Seymour, La Pine wrestling: Seymour won the 135-pound title at the Hood River Valley Invitational. She claimed two pins, both in less than 20 seconds, en route to the title.
Boys
Jace Jonas, Crook County basketball: In two wins last week, the junior guard averaged 25 points per game. In the Cowboys’ 70-58 win over The Dalles, Jonas scored 31 points, and in a 54-50 win over Molalla, Jonas scored 19 points.
Ryder Lee, Redmond wrestling: At the Reser’s Tournament of Champions Jan. 24-25, Lee finished second in the 126-pound weight class. En route to the title match, he picked up a pin in the quarterfinals over Joseph Johnson, a 5A champion last year, and then won by technical fall over Roseburg’s Jack Olsen, a top 6A wrestler.
Will Manfredi, Summit basketball: The senior guard led the Storm with 19 points in their 68-58 win over Redmond in the Intermountain Conference opener on Jan. 22 as Summit extended its winning streak to four games.
Eric Larwin, Bend wrestling: The senior wrestler remained a perfect 21-0 on the season after taking first place in the 150-pound weight class at the Reser’s Tournament of Champions. Larwin claimed two pins in his three matches and won the championship match by major decision.
