The votes are in for The Bulletin’s Athletes of the Week for Jan. 20-25. More than 1,100 votes were cast.

Alana Troullier, a junior on the Mountain View girls wrestling team, and Jace Jonas, a junior on the Crook County boys basketball team, were voted by Bulletin readers as the boys and girls Athletes of the Week.

Troullier was nominated by The Bulletin sports staff after she won all five of her matches to claim the 130-pound title at the Hood River Valley Invitational, Jan. 24-25. Troullier pinned all five of her opponents.

Jace Jonas, Crook County boys basketball

Jonas was nominated by Crook County coach Jason Mumm after the junior guard averaged 25 points per game in two wins last week. In the Cowboys’ 70-58 win over The Dalles, Jonas scored 31 points, and in a 54-50 win over Molalla, he scored 19 points.

New nominations will be announced on Tuesday.

Local athletes are nominated for the honor by coaches and The Bulletin sports staff.
