Man arrested after stabbing at Redmond convenience store

A Bend man was arrested in Redmond on Wednesday after police say he stabbed someone at the 7-11 convenience store on SW Highland Avenue.
Cameron Whitney, 20, was arrested about 3:45 p.m. at the Shepherd’s House shelter in Redmond. Law enforcement had been looking for him for more than an hour. Police were initially called to the store about 2:15 p.m. after a report of a stabbing. A victim at the scene had minor injuries, police said.
Whitney now faces charges of attempted assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
