The Prineville-Crook County Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Center recently remodeled its office using funds from Travel Oregon to enhance the facility to better serve residents and visitors.

The visitor center has improved wheelchair accessibility with an automatic door opener, an Americans with Disabilities Act compliant front desk, lobby seating and signage, according to the chamber’s statement. The grant was $28,900 and was given to the destination management arm of the chamber.

“The grant we received made this project possible, and it’s incredible to see the transformation,“said Kim Molnar, tourism director for Explore Prineville. “The remodel reflects our commitment to creating a welcoming and accommodating space for visitors.”
