We want to know, Redmond foodies, what restaurant do you want to see open next?

Restaurateurs have jumped at the potential of Redmond’s culinary scene in recent years.

Late 2024 saw the opening of Chef’s Table, a reservation-only prix fixe tasting menu by Dave and Amy Bodi of Bend’s FERM & fare wine bar, along with the opening of La Choza, a Latin American eatery in the High Desert Music Hall and a new franchise of Chipotle Mexican Grill.

Earlier last year, Redmond Food Park established an alcohol-free hangout with a diverse range of cuisines including boba, Philly cheesesteaks, Thai, Indian and Mexican and in September, Bontà Natural Artisan Gelato teamed up with Backporch Coffee Roasters for a coffee meets ice-cream concept.

Last month, yet another Mexican restaurant opened with Mi Placita on Fifth Street, with birria tacos, chilaquiles and fresh-squeezed juice. In nearby Terrebonne, woman-owned La Catrina Chingona is putting the finishing touches on its tequila bar with modern Mexican fusion at The Terrebonne Depot.

Next summer, Sunriver Brewing Co. will bring 16 brews on tap to the new Westmount building, across from Ridgeview High School.

With all of the recent changes, some have cried for greater diversity in Redmond’s food scene, hoping for the addition of an Indian, Middle Eastern, Italian restaurant or German restaurant.
