The votes are in for The Bulletin’s Athletes of the Week for April 14-19

Brezlyn Hagemeister, a sophomore on the Ridgeview softball team, and Alex Via, a senior on the Summit baseball team, were voted by Bulletin readers as the boys and girls Athletes of the Week.

Hagemeister was nominated by Ridgeview assistant coach Stephanie Derschon after the sophomore pitcher struck out 41 batters in three wins last week to help the Ravens remain undefeated at 12-0. Hagemeister also had six hits in nine plate appearances and finished with seven RBIs, a home run and a double last week.

Alex Via, Summit baseball

Via was nominated by Summit coach Aaron Boehm after the senior went 6-for-12 at the plate and drove in four runs in a series win over Ridgeview. Via also struck out eight Ravens batters and allowed just three hits and did not allow a run in five innings of work on the mound.
