Rezfest brings extreme metal to Warm Springs

When you love extreme heavy metal, sometimes you have to stray from the beaten path to find it.

In this case, let’s call the beaten path U.S. Highway 26, which runs from Madras toward Mount Hood, traveling through the Warm Springs Indian Reservation. If, when you’re in Warm Springs, you turn south off the highway onto Hollywood Boulevard and drive just about a half-mile, you’ll find the Warm Springs Community Center.

That’s where, on Saturday, you’ll find the 2025 edition of Central Oregon’s biggest and longest running metal event, known as Rezfest. Here, you’re a little over an hour from Bend and Sisters, a little under an hour from Prineville and Redmond. You’re a couple hours from Hood River and the eastern suburbs of Portland, too.

No matter where you’re coming from, the lineup for Rezfest 2025 is worth the drive. It includes local death metal legends Damage OverDose, who have been banging out brutal sounds for nearly 30 years, as well as Six Million Dead, an Indigenous band from Southern Arizona that makes blackened death metal.

More music: Wide variety of music ahead at Midtown and Domino Room

A bunch of Oregon heavies round out the Rezfest lineup: Chemical Annihilation, Atomic Terror, Mazaroth, Back From Death and Eagle Thunder.

If headbanging is your thing, here’s where you want to be on Saturday. Gas up and get there!

Rezfest 2025: 5 p.m. Saturday, $15, Warm Springs Community Center, 2200 Hollywood Blvd., Warm Springs. For more information, search Rezfest at brownpapertickets.com or Damage OverDose on Facebook.
